In every dog man book you can really connect with the characters but in this book you will meat new ones as in Sam Hamilton and yolay and all different things that you thought wasn’t going to happen happens it’s a lovely book and is just as good as all the other Dog man books 。

Another silly， sweet book in the Dogman series。 I think the Steinbeck quotes and chapter titles went a bit over my 8 year old’s head， but she liked the story anyway。 A lovely way to introduce children to the idea that they don’t have to follow in their parent’s footsteps。

（This review applies to both the third and fourth books in the series。）As with the Diary of a Wimpy Kid and The Last Kids on Earth series'， I'm going to continue reading Dog Man because I think it's important for parents to show interest in the media their kids consume。 I love seeing them get excited about something and I want to share in that enthusiasm。The third and fourth books don't deviate much from the formula established in the first two， though the addition of Lil' Petey was a significan （This review applies to both the third and fourth books in the series。）As with the Diary of a Wimpy Kid and The Last Kids on Earth series'， I'm going to continue reading Dog Man because I think it's important for parents to show interest in the media their kids consume。 I love seeing them get excited about something and I want to share in that enthusiasm。The third and fourth books don't deviate much from the formula established in the first two， though the addition of Lil' Petey was a significant turning point: it not only allows for some expansion of both the Dog Man and Petey characters， but actually generates some genuine empathy from the audience。 I know more than one young reader who was sincerely touched by Petey's feelings of abandonment， joy at "adoption" and emotional resilience in the face of an uncaring and abusive parent。 More than anything else in the first four books， that arc made me start to understand the appeal of the series。 。。。more
